As a Management Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller in ensuring that the leadership team have regular, accurate and timely financial information upon which strategic/financial decisions can be made. To work closely with other members of the business to ensure the smooth day to day running of the business and month end process.
This varied role will suit a proactive person that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking on ad hoc finance projects.

In return for this, we are looking for someone who has:
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), or near completion.
- Proven management accounting experience, including year-end statutory reporting and external audits.
- Strong systems experience, particularly Sage 200, IBM Cognos, and advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior management and external stakeholders.
- High professional standards with a proactive, flexible, and commercially minded approach.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a focus on continuous improvement and process enhancement.
What would I be doing as a Management Accountant at 4Com?
- Support the Financial Controller by delivering accurate, timely financial information and analysis to the leadership team.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, commentary, KPIs, and consolidated reporting.
- Ensure accurate month-end close and reporting in line with Group timetables and requirements.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records, including general ledger, balance sheet, and sub-accounts, resolving discrepancies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and budgetary control, providing meaningful insights into performance and trends.
- Ensure consistent and accurate transfer of financial data between systems (Sage 200 and IBM Cognos).
- Assist with statutory accounts, audits, and compliance with UK GAAP.
- Investigate reporting anomalies, monitor costs and overheads, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and cash flow.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, systems, and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with leadership, finance, and non-finance stakeholders, including support for new projects, cost centres, and ad-hoc reporting.
