In return for this, we are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with stakeholders and sharing information with team members.
- Microsoft M365 Certifications such as but not limited to
MS-900 or AZ-900
MD-101 / MD-102
MS-102
- Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft suite and the ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies.
- Fundamental understanding of IP networks, Wi-Fi, VLANs and routing.
- Experience in using Windows Azure and proficiency in the use of scripting languages such as PowerShell and virtualisation technologies preferably VMware.
- Hardware knowledge around desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals, with an understanding of backup and disaster recovery concepts.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to quickly prioritize support issues and escalate to 3rd line or other teams when needed.
What would I be doing as an IT Support Engineer at 4Com?
- Demonstrate ownership and take accountability for delivery of projects.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments around the business.
- Assist the IT Manager in the creation of monthly reports for the senior management team.
- Participate in and support our chosen project management methodology.
- Help the team to create achievable plans with well defined, measurable success criteria.
- Improve and create when required, high quality documentation such as process guides and deployment plans.
- Follow and where needed, improve or implement industry standards and best practices.
- Work with the team to ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity processes are followed and tested on a regular basis.
